A mint and used group on pages of 1d. lilac overprints used in the British Empire comprising British Bechuanaland 1d. lilac handstamped 'specimen' in violet, used examples (22) including multiple of fourteen cancelled by c.d.s's of 'PALLA 6 Sep 93', Bechuanaland Protectorate overprinted 'specimen'(2) and unused examples (14) including singles, a block of four and a pair, used (16) including vertical pair tied to envelope to Bulawayo by Palapye c.d.s, Mafeking 3d. on 1d. lilac used (3), Niger Oil Rivers 1d. bisected on small piece, mixed condition though an interesting and valuable selection.
