The Bond & Share department was created in London in 2008 when specialist Mike Veissid joined Spink and was extended to the U.S.A. on the acquisition of R.M.Smythe & Co. in New York.

We currently hold two sales per year in London, in May and November, four sales in the U.S.A. within the Numismatic Collectors Series sales and one specialist sale in Hong Kong.

Spink have been fortunate in sourcing a great deal of fresh material which has created some excitement and world record prices in the market. The department is now closely aligned with the banknote department, where both the material and the clients sometimes cross over into both specialities.

The market itself has only been in existence since the 1970's and is still in its infancy. There are few reference catalogues and price guides, which Spink is working hard to change over the coming years. Guides for collectors are essential tools which encourage collecting and give collectors confidence in what they are purchasing. Spink auction catalogues, illustrated in full colour, are informative reference works in themselves.
