Spink are proud to announce that our Medal Services Department have re-mounted Captain Sir Tom Moore’s Second World War campaign medals. Sir Tom was recently re-presented with his Defence Medal; this is now added to his medal bar in its official position between the Burma Star and the War Medal. Additionally, we re-mounted his miniature medals - not only to add a new Defence Medal but also the badge of a Knight Bachelor; Sir Tom will receive the full-size badge of a Knight at his investiture later in 2020.

Spink brings to collectors another extensive Philatelic Collectors’ Series auction. To be held on 14th and 15th April, the auction will take place behind closed doors in line with government guidelines, via online streaming, live bidding platform - Spink Live. Despite current circumstances, stamp collectors can expect a wide selection spanning all world and some lovely covers.

To mark the issue of its most secure banknote yet, the Bank of England has partnered with Spink to hold a charity auction of low numbered polymer £20 banknotes at Spink's London office on 8th April.
Two rare gold coins of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir are on offer at the NY INC coin fair, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 19th January. Lot 264 is a Mohur depicting an image of Taurus the Bull, struck at Agra mint (estimate $80,000-100,000). This is an extremely rare and desirable coin made at the Mughal capital. However, the Mohur featuring Cancer the Crab, offered at lot 265 is far rarer, as it was struck at Kashmir mint (estimate $300,000-400,000).

The single Inverted Jenny and the block of four will be offered in two separate lots. The single Inverted Jenny, described as one of the ‘finest singles’ by our specialist George Eveleth, is Position 39, extremely well centred amid large margin and with full original gum.

Harl, who started collecting at the age of six, is also known as a scholar in Roman and Roman provincial numismatics, author of two major books and a number of articles, and a fellow and trustee of the American Numismatic Society.
Spink is honoured to present the first part of the Michael Gleason Collection, comprised of the original master recordings of musical performances of eighteen world-renowned artists performing over sixty songs at Abbey Road Studios. The auction will take place on June 20th, 2019 at Spink’s headquarters office in London.

(Hong Kong, 27 November 2018) After breaking a world record for a Hermès Silver Mini Kelly in a recent auction, renowned auctioneer SPINK, French fashion expert Brand Connection, and fashion doyen Jamie Chua join forces for SPINK’s second handbag sale this season, focused on rare Hermès classics.
The August Hong Kong numismatic auction was the largest auction we have held in terms of volume. With nearly 2,900 lots it was also the first time we have held a sale spanning three days, from 7th to 9th August. There were highlights in all categories and despite a slightly turbulent market many high value items sold well over our expectations. This further cements Spink China as a vibrant and growing numismatic auction house in East Asia.
