Richard III (1483-1485), Groat, Type I, London, crowned bust facing, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 2.92g, 2h, m.m. halved sun-and-rose (Winstanley 3, Pl. II, no. 2, same dies, albeit repunched with boar's head; Spink Auction, 28 January 2019, lot 1638 same obverse die; North 1679; S.2154), slightly clipped otherwise on a fuller, darkly toned flan, some softness to portrait and the usual hairline die flaw in right field, a bolder fine to about very fine in parts, scarce
