1858 (27 Nov.) entire letter ex the Jefferson correspondence to Whitehaven bearing 4d. rose strip of four and 6d. lilac pair, paying a quadruple rate, all cancelled by very clear "A02", just tying the strips at the outer edges, marked "Pr. Steamer", the reverse with double ring Antigua, London transit and Whitehaven receiving d.s., all well struck. Adhesives with some faults though a rare and most attractive mixed franking. S.G.
