A series of head die proofs (6) including De La Rue Queen Victoria with uncleared surround in black dated "oct 29, 1858" and marked "before hardening", the same but with manuscript date "1879", undated cards (2) one in black with engraved background and uncleared surround, the other in mauve with engraved background and uncleared surround, King George V in black with uncleared surround, all on glazed card, the latter in thin card; also Waterlow QEII vignette proof in purple, sunken on wove paper with imprinted number '19766'. A fine and scarce group.
