This sports drama was directed by Michael Ritchie and was his directorial film debut. The cast includes Robert Redford, Gene Hackman and Camilla Sparv. The film tells the story of a downhill skier (Redford) who joins the US ski team whilst they are competing in international competitions in Europe. The film perfectly lets us into the world of an amateur/professional skier - one who is self-absorbed, confident and talented. The skiing action is exciting, and sits alongside the daily life of the amateur/professional skier and his team. All is on show for us - run-ins with the team's coach (Hackman), conflicts with team members, the efforts of the coach to keep the team solidified and more !

Excellent condition, colours remaining very bright, very minor restoration to folds. This piece was distributed folded.
