Gregson of the Municipal Council notifying him that from the 2nd February the steamers of the China Navigation Company will not be able to carry mail for the Treaty Ports. Signed for Butterfield and Swire, agents of the China Navigation company. The front has been covered by archival paper. A rare and important document heralding the closure to the Shanghai Local Post System. Photo


1897年1月15日一份給鎮江工部局秘書格瑞格森F. Gregson 的信函, 通知自1897年2月2日起太古輪船公司不再接收各商埠包括南京書信館的郵件, 並由太古輪船公司代理簽署. 該函正面被檔案紙所覆蓋着, 是關於上海工部局郵政系統關閉的罕見及重要文件.
