1893 (20 Sept.) envelope to New York bearing a good strike of "chefoo/local post" dated oval in bluish black with a fine strike of the "PAID" handstamp alongside, used with U.S. 5c. Grant tied by U.S. Postal Agency, Shanghai duplex, the reverse with Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (22.9) in blue and San Francisco transit (15.10); roughly opened at right.

1893 (19 Dec.) envelope from the same correspondence bearing a part strike of the Chefoo Local post dated oval in mauve, with U.S. Grant 5c. tied by U.S. Postal Agency, Shanghai duplex (29.12), the reverse bearing a fine strike of the despatch datestamp, san Francisco and Brewster arrival c.d.s. (7.12). A fine and rare pair of covers displaying the different Local Post handstamps. Photo. (2 covers)


1893年9月20日煙台寄紐約無票早期封, 蓋有藍黑色橢圓形煙台工部書信館日戳, 旁蓋有 "PAID" 印記, 加貼美國5仙票, 銷上海美國郵政代辦戳, 封背蓋藍色9月22日上海工部戳及10月15日三藩市中轉戳. 開封口有欠整齊; 另有來自同一寄信及收信人信封寄於1893年12月19日, 蓋有不完整的淡紫色橢圓形煙台工部書信館日戳, 加貼美國5仙票, 銷12月29日上海美國郵政代辦戳, 封背蓋有煙台工部調度戳, 三藩市中轉及12月7日Brewster到達戳. 保存尚佳的两個少見蓋有不同色調煙台工部書信館戳的信封.
