1860-1949 including 1860 (5 July) envelope from London bearing 1858-76 2d. blue strip of three, Plate 8, with remarkable address and endorsements reading "Very important inheritance", "Matthew Chirstian by Son of Mr. Robert Christian Esq who died at Antigua in 1777 or to the Relatives ...", "Expressely Recommended to the post to be Enquired for those Relatives and to be delivered to one of them!", charged "1" with manuscript "Not Known here"; three entire letters from Glasgow ex the Martin Correspondence dated 1896, 1871 and 1872, each bearing G.B. 1865-67 1/- Plate 4 (2) and 5; also 1949 (6 Dec.) envelope sent "By Air" from Soufriere bearing St. Lucia 5c. tied by Soufriere d.s. with instruction handstamp "return to writer". An interesting group.
